Fly Armor Cheekbands Fly Armor insect repellent gear provides an invisible shield of
tranquility against flies, mosquitoes, gnats, fleas, ticks and
no-see-ums for approximately four weeks, depending upon weather
conditions. The unique component of a Fly Armor band is the scented,
eco-friendly replacement insert. The band protects your animal’s head
from bothersome flying insects and aids in the prevention of West Nile
Virus. Replacement inserts with long-lasting protection offer an
economical way to fight bothersome pests. Fly Armor has been field
tested at farms and in the laboratory to bring you the highest quality
product available for your dog or horse. The repellent in Fly Armor products has been manufactured using only all-natural ingredients that
are 100% free from toxic chemicals. For additional protection, Fly
Armor gear is constructed with a Vaporguard backing to prevent
leaching of the repellent through the noseband onto the skin.
Vaporguard is a 3-ply laminate with an aluminum core surrounded by two
layers of multi-axially oriented, high density polyethylene. UV
stabilization protects the material from degradation during extended
exposure to sunlight. Measures 7" long by 1.5" wide.
Cheek Band:
Features behind-the-back Velcro closures and easy to use one pocket
bands that hold one treated replacement insert and are ideal for use
over your horse’s cheek while attaching to a standard bridle or cheek
piece of a standard halter. This provides wonderful protection against
insects attempting to attack the eyes of your horse and allows you to
create a full square of protection around your horse’s face when used in
conjunction with our noseband and poll band. For small breeds and
younger horses, the one pocket cheek band can be used on the nose piece
or crown piece of the halter. How to use Fly Armor on your horse's halter or bridle:
-
Fly Armor bands are designed to attach easily.
-
Open the small bag containing the active-ingredient pads and insert pads into the slotted openings in the band(s).
-
Fasten the band(s) to desired areas of riding tack using the velcro attachments.
-
It is recommended that Fly Armor gear be removed when bathing your
horse as shampoo can contaminate the inserts and may reduce the life of
the product.
-
Replace the inserts when the repellent loses its effectiveness due to longevity or a build-up of dirt.
